From ski passes to complimentary 5-course meals: Businesses are choosing to salute US service members, veterans with major deals this Memorial Day

Memorial Day is an opportunity for Americans to say thank you to those who have served in the armed forces, as well as to honor those who gave their lives in service to the country. And a growing number of businesses express that gratitude by offering discounts and free goods and services to active duty military and veterans.

Keep in mind that, in order to take advantage of these deals, you’ll generally need to show your military ID. With that, here are some of the most notable specials being offered in 2026.

Walgreens

From May 23 through May 25, veterans, members of the military and their families can get a 20% discount on eligible items at Walgreens or Duane Reade stores. The offer is good in-store only.
