Frontier Airlines will let you take as many flights as you want through next February — for just $199. But Christmas isn’t included

“The GoWild Fall & Winter Pass makes it possible to experience fall foliage in New England, hit the slopes in the Rocky Mountains and escape to the beaches of Puerto Rico — and that’s just the beginning of the limitless adventures available to our pass holders,” said Bobby Schroeter, chief commercial officer of Frontier Airlines, in a statement.

What you can and can’t do

The pass covers flights between Aug. 4 and Feb. 28, and it’s only available for a limited time. There are, of course, some limitations.

For instance, it does come with blackout dates. You won’t be able to use it any time between Dec. 19 and Dec. 31. The day before Thanksgiving is out, too, as is New Year’s Day. (Gotta travel in those periods? You can get a seat by paying a Peak Day Charge, which ranges from $79 to $159 each way.)

Once you buy the pass, though, you can begin using it immediately. The key thing to know is that passholders can only reserve their flight one day prior to departure for domestic flights and 10 days prior to departure on international flights (including Mexico and Central America). This is a pass that’s best suited for people who embrace spontaneity.

Limited availability

These “MoviePass of the sky” passes are being sold on a first come-first served basis, and Frontier hasn’t said how many it plans to offer.

It’s also worth noting that these passes automatically renew at the end of their term unless you cancel before midnight on the final day. Typically, those renewal rates are significantly higher than the discounted rates, and those are non-refundable, the carrier says. The renewal price for the 2026-2027 GoWild! Annual Pass, for instance, is $699.

Frontier is based in Denver, Colorado, and uses Denver International Airport as its primary hub. It serves 120 destinations at present. The carrier recently raised its third-quarter earnings forecast above analyst expectations, citing recent fare increases (of more than 50%) and broader U.S. capacity reductions.

Shares of the airline are up close to 60% year to date.
