Aeroplan credit card holders have a new travel perk that they can look forward to for their next vacation. As of Sept. 13, 2023, Aeroplan credit card holders can get a free fourth night in a hotel for any stay that is booked with Aeroplan points.
The Fourth Night Free offer is a game changer as it is the first loyalty program to offer an unlimited fourth night free benefit. The benefit is currently available to cardholders for all Aeroplan co-branded credit cards in both Canada and the United States.
The Aeroplan HotelSavers Program
The Fourth Night Free benefit is part of the HotelSavers program that Aeroplan launched in 2022. HotelSavers is an Aeroplan member-exclusive platform that offers cardholders up to 30% in points when they book stays at partner hotels. These partner hotels include a range of luxury, premium, and economy brand chains around the world, including Fairmont, Shangri-La, Crown Plaza, Outrigger, Novotel, Holiday Inn, and more.
Aeroplan partner hotels are divided into eight categories (depending on standard room costs) and assigned a range of points required to book a single night. The estimated points requirement for a single night in a room for each category is as follows:
- Category 1: 10,000-15,000 points
- Category 2: 15,000-22,500 points
- Category 3: 20,000-30,000 points
- Category 4: 25,000-40,000 points
- Category 5: 35,000-50,000 points
- Category 6: 45,000-70,000 points
- Category 7: 55,000-80,000 points
- Category 8: 75,000-105,000 points

Fourth Night Free
As of now, Aeroplan credit card holders can redeem points for three consecutive nights and get the fourth for free. Staying longer? For those booking an eight-night consecutive stay, you only need to redeem enough points for six nights. Stays need to be consecutive nights at the same, participating hotel to be deemed eligible for this offer.
As an added bonus, Aeroplan credit card holders don’t need to worry about any caps or blackout dates. Savings are calculated as an average of the cost of all four nights. This is intended to give Aeroplan maximum value to make the most of their points and be able to travel longer.
This current promotion is valid from Sept. 13, 2023, to 12 am (Eastern time) on Dec. 31, 2023. Hotel bookings can be made for 2024 travel dates. Learn more about the Fourth Night Free program here.
Aeroplan credit cards
If you are not yet an Aeroplan credit card holder, this might be the time to consider joining the club. The Fourth Night Free program is new for Canadians, marketing Aeroplan as not only an airline rewards travel card, but also a great option for hotel rewards.
Aeroplan has co-branded credit cards with TD Bank, CIBC Bank, and American Express. These include no annual-fee credit card options, as well as top-tier options loaded with perks and benefits. At the time of writing this article, all co-branded Aeroplan credit cards also offer generous welcome bonuses. The bonuses allow you to build up to that fourth night free benefit even faster.
