Ellen DeGeneres, the dancing comedian/talk-show host also has a secret hobby: She loves flipping luxury real estate, having owned 12 homes in the past 20 years. And these aren’t just any old shacks, either.

Ellen’s purchases include a $6 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills, a $29 million estate that was featured in Architectural Digest and a Tudor style home that she purchased from Adam Levine for a cool $45 million.

Most recently, Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi moved into a $27 million home in Santa Barbara. Despite the, ahem, lower price tag, this estate is a place where anyone would be happy to hang their hat.

The estate overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and features 8.23 acres of land, five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, two offices, a home gym and a guest house. We’re wondering if Ellen has a spare key.

2. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston

The home previously owned by Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston (remember those days?) is up for sale, and could be yours — if you’ve got insane credit, or $44.5 million lying around.

To call this place a mansion would be a serious understatement. The 12,000 square foot estate has five bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a massive outdoor swimming pool, a home theater, a pub room with 200-year-old wood floors, an exercise room, a spa and a dining room that comfortably seats up to 20 people.

The house was built in the 1930s by architect Wallace Neff but got an upgrade in 2001 — Brad and Jen both collaborated to give the estate a French Normandy revival feel. The renovation took three years, but was only lived in for two. Too bad for Brad and Jen — but one lucky buyer will get to live like royalty.

3. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Florida mansion

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was the highest-paid actor in 2019, according to Forbes, taking home a respectable $89.4 million for his work on the Jumanji franchise and Hobbs and Shaw.

So, where does the highly-sought-after actor go to kick up his feet after a long day of filming? As you can probably guess, he’s not living in a dingy bachelor pad.

The Rock lives in the sunny suburban Miami on a $3.4 million ranch property in Broward County. The Mediterranean-style estate has 13,700 square-feet of space and features five bedrooms, a home theater that can seat up to 14 people and a six-car garage.

The Rock also reportedly dropped $300,000 on a fully decked-out home gym — we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Alex Rodriguez really scored a home-run when he met Jennifer Lopez. The power couple have a combined net worth of $750 million, and love to spend it on luxury estates. If you got it, spend it.

The 8-acre estate in Bel Air is more palatial than plebian and features an enormous kitchen with a skylight, a 30-seat home theater and a lush outdoor space for sitting outside and catching that famous J-Lo tan.

5. Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon Zuma Farms estate

Zuma Farms

Rustic is a really big trend in home decor, and it's safe to say that Reese Witherspoon really nailed it with her gorgeous Malibu farmhouse estate. The $6.25 million estate, known as Zuma Farms, is part farm, part mega-mansion, that's equal parts chic and bucolic — perfect for the Big Little Lies actress, who hails from the South.

The grounds also have enough space for horse stables and a farm.

The property is not Witherspoon's primary estate — she actually lives full time in a mansion in the Pacific Palisades, and also owns a home in Nashville. But can you imagine Zuma Ranch being your getaway spot?

6. Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming-Willis have only been married for a little more than a decade, but in that time they have still managed to snag some impressive pieces of property.

The Willises spend the majority of their time living in their Brentwood mansion that they purchased in 2019 for $9.8 million, but when they vacation, they vacation in style.

Their Turks and Caicos beach house is a marvel of luxury real estate — called “The Residence on Parrot Cay”, the private estate has a sprawling 18,000 square-foot mansion with 17,000 square feet of wraparound deck, perfect for catching some sunsets. There are 11 bedrooms with a 2,100 square-foot master suite, and 13.5 bathrooms, including a luxe outdoor shower.

The kids were probably never out of things to do, since the estate had a massive playground and four swimming pools. One lucky buyer scooped up the property for a cool $27 million in 2019, but you can still vacation near there since the house is on the COMO Parrot Cay resort property — just have a credit card handy. One room will cost you upwards of $2,000 a night.

During the golf off-season, Tiger Woods likes to kick up his feet inside his ultra-secluded mansion in Jupiter Island, Florida.

The island may be small, but its residents sure pack a big paycheck. Jupiter Island is one of the most exclusive ZIP codes in the United States, with the median property going for $5.3 million, according to Zillow data.

Woods had a hand in building the $54 million property, which includes a 3.5-acre golf course, a tennis court and more than one pool.

George and Amal Clooney are the ultimate power couple. She’s a high-powered lawyer that’s represented royalty, and he’s an Oscar-winning actor and director.

The pair of them emanate grace and class, and their $12 million home in Berkshire, England, is no exception.

The space has several offices, a lounge, a pool, a tennis court, a garden and a theater that Amal affectionately refers to as “George’s place.”

9. Billy Joel

The Piano Man recently sold his Palm Beach, Florida, estate for $16.9 million. One lucky buyer gets to live in the secluded spot that features 13,000 square feet of space. The home is outfitted with large panels of impact glass that makes it feel as if the ocean is right outside your bedroom — or bedrooms, of which there are eight.

The master bedroom features an en-suite, a sitting area, a private balcony, two walk-in closets and two marble bathtubs.

That’s not all that lucky buyer gets to do. Hosting dinner parties is a breeze considering the palatial, colonnaded grand entrance and massive dining room. Feeling a little cabin fever? No problem, just take your sailboat out for a spin — the house comes with its own private marina, too.

10. John Travolta

Nobody likes going to the airport, so John Travolta brought the airport to him. Travolta is an aviation enthusiast and fully licensed private pilot, so it may come as no surprise that he purchased the 550-acre lot Jumbolair — a private aviation estate in Anthony, Florida.

The estate went up for sale in 2018. Specs on the airport/mansion include a 3,600 foot lighted runway, a 90,000 square-foot warehouse and manufacturing facility, a hangar space large enough for five private aircrafts and enough space for a 38-lot development.

As for living arrangements, one buyer could get cozy in a 7,600 square foot mansion once owned by Muriel Vanderbilt. With the mansion comes a swimming pool, fitness center and a banquet hall that’s large enough to accommodate 400 guests.
